It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Cache
Revel comes with a library that facilitates server-side, low-latency, and temporary storage to act as a cache. If you need to take advantage of, and minimize access to, the database, cache is a good choice. Another example is implementing cache for user sessions where cookie-based sessions aren't preferred or are insufficient.
