I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Event-driven applications
We still have scores of monolithic and mainframe applications, especially in the financial sector. Today, most of the applications are following the client/server style. There are cloud (online, on demand, and off-premise) applications. With a variety of additional and third-party systems joining, the application architecture moves to n-tier distributed computing. With blockchain, the P2P architectural pattern is getting a lot of attention from various stakeholders.
