So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
REST Resource Representation Compression
REST APIs can return the resource representations in a variety of formats (XML, JSON, HTML, and text). Resource representations can be compressed to save network bandwidth and storage requirements. There are different transmission protocols that enable compression, and clients are accordingly notified about the compression algorithm used.
