(vinyl butyral)-coated glasses. PVK and poly(phenaz-

asiline)-coated surfaces sufﬁciently ﬁx and stretch

the DNA molecules. Such coated surfaces provide

an adequate AFM observation of the stretched DNA

molecules. A speciﬁc interaction is attributed to the π-

stacking between the aromatic amines in the polymers

and the base pairs in the DNA molecules [215].
