1.6 Safety
NVK is harmful if swallowed or absorbed through
the skin. Moreover, NVK is suspected to cause cancer.
PVK is a stable substance. However, it is incompatible
with strong oxidizing agents. Its toxicology has not
been fully investigated [232].
