The mechanical, thermal, rheological,and morpholog-
ical properties were assessed in order to examine the
influence of the number of molding cycles on the PPE
blends.
The retention of the properties correlated well
with the unperturbed morphology of the composi-
tions before and after recycling. This was confirmed
by transmission electron microscopy on the fractured
tensile samples. Structure-property relationships were
attempted to be formulated using several characteri-
zation techniques.
Blends of PPE and PS are commercially available
and used for injection molding articles such as hous-
ings for appliances and consumer electronics. In order
to reduce waste and to conserve energy, it would be
