Port fields of a new row in the
Customized Applications table.
Select the TCP Protocol check-
box. Type the private IP address
of the computer running IIS in
the IP Address field. Select the
Enabled checkbox. Figure 12-16
shows my configuration.
5. Click Apply.
Video Playback
In this phase, you will set up a method for viewing the video feed you cre-
ated in earlier phases. As always, it’s entirely up to you how you implement
this. If you want to view the cameras from a television, this phase could be
as simple as installing video playback software and connecting your com-
puter to your television using a video card.
If you’re like me, however, you want to view the video across a network.
This will allow you to see what’s happening around your house from your
desktop computer, a laptop with a wireless connection, or an Internet café.
In the Video Transfer phase, we configured Helix Universal Server to make
a video feed from Helix Producer available to Real clients. In this phase,
we’ll install the Free RealOne Player on a computer and get the video feed
up and running. Real is a nice video format to use because the client is avail-
able for Windows, Linux, and the Mac.
