This is a great little trick I learned from pro retoucher (and KelbyOne instructor) Kristina Sherk (from Shark Pixel). Get the Radial Filter tool (Shift-M) from the toolbar beneath the Develop module’s Histogram panel, double-click on “Effect” to reset all the sliders to zero, then turn on the Invert checkbox near the bottom of the panel (so the sliders affect what’s inside the oval rather than outside it).
