When you press Command-E (PC: Ctrl-E) to take a layered Photoshop file back over to Photoshop (see previous page), you’ll need to choose Edit Original in the dialog you see above, which pops up before your image jumps over there. That’s the trick to having the image open with its layers intact in Photoshop. Otherwise, if you choose either of the other two options, the image will open just like it looked in Lightroom, as a flattened image with no layers.
