To see an approximation of how your image will look in print (a money-saving feature you can use rather than making a test print) use the Soft Proofing feature. This isn’t done in the Print module, though. Instead, select your image, then go to the Develop module and turn on the Soft Proofing checkbox in the toolbar below the center Preview area (if you don’t see it, press Command-T [PC: Ctrl-T]). Once you turn this on, the gray area behind your image turns solid white (to simulate the look of a print on white paper). ...
