I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Grasping the Situation (GTS)
GTS is a continuous activity that informs each PDCA step. GTS entails devel-
oping a problem consciousness by grasping:
◾ The big picture
◾ The key parts of the big picture that need to be deeply investigated
◾ What is actually happening
◾ What should be happening
◾ Current and likely future trends
◾ How the issue relates to the values and goals of the organization
GTS is an active process that requires nemawashi and going to see the
actual condition. GTS is much easier if we have developed SMART goals and
good measurement systems.

◾ Where do we want to go?
◾ How do we get there?
