You can still capture pictures of your Mac screen by pressing Shift-c-3 (for a fullscreen grab) or Shift-c-4 (to grab a selected portion of the screen). However, the resulting image files, called Picture 1, Picture 2, and so on, now appear on the desktop instead of in the hard drive window—and in the more universal PDF format instead of PICT.
