We have now officially made the shift into the Deploy stage of the Client Journey, or the Deployment phase of the implementation steps. Like most everything we've covered thus far, not all testing happens in the Deploy stage—much of the planning and functional testing should occur before the Deploy stage. Since most of the activity happens in the Deploy stage, I thought it best to tackle testing at this step of the journey.

This chapter is full of definitions, as many more flavors of testing exist than I had envisioned when I first learned about this. You want to make sure that the project team knows exactly what they are testing, when they are doing it, and how they are doing it to be sure it's done effectively.
