It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Limiting yourself
Limit yourself to the data that you need to fetch. Always ensure that you use appropriate limits while fetching the data, as unwanted data being fetched wouldn't be useful and would impact performance. Use the LIMIT clause in your SQL queries.
