It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Management node
The management node performs the important role of publishing relevant cluster information across the nodes in its cluster, along with node management. Nodes for management work at startup when all nodes want to join the MySQL cluster and also when reconfiguration of the system is required. The management node can be stopped and restart all services without damaging or impacting an ongoing operation, execution, or processing of data and the application node.
