So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Data types and joins
MySQL can do joins for data types that are different but the performance can be impacted if MySQL is asked to use different data types for join fields, as it would have to convert from one to another for each row.
