Most of the MySQL programs support option files. As they affect option file handling, they must be given in the command line and not as part of an option file.
In order to make them work properly, they must be given before other options. Some of the exceptions are as follows : --print-defaults might be used immediately after --login-path, --defaults-file, or defaults-extra-file.
--no-defaults and --print-defaults are also used to modify option file handling.
