I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Resetting the root password
The MySQL server does not need a password for connecting as a root user if the root password is never set in MySQL. If the password was assigned earlier has been forgotten, it can be reset.
The following are the instructions to reset the root @ localhost account password on the Windows system:
- Log in to the system using system administrator credentials.
- If the MySQL server is already running, stop the server. If the MySQL server is running as a Windows service, go to Services by following Start menu | Control panel | Administrative tools | Services. In the services, find the MySQL service and stop it. If the MySQL server is not running as a Windows service, kill the MySQL server process by using Windows Task Manager. ...
