It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Partitioning management
There are different ways to use SQL statements to modify partitioned tables and perform operations such as add, redefine, merge, drop, or split existing partitioned tables. Information about partitioned tables and partitions can also be obtained with SQL statements.
MIN_ROWS and MAX_ROWS can be used to configure the maximum and minimum number of rows and can be stored in the partition table.
