So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Horizontal partitioning
When the number of rows in the table is very large, the table can be divided into multiple partitions; this is known as horizontal partitioning. When horizontal partitioning is used, each partition of the table contains the same number of columns. It is possible to access all partitions at once, or you can access each partition individually.
