Chapter 22. Putting outcomes to work

For any venture, project, or action it is a prerequisite of success to set clear outcomes and, in particular, to set what has been described earlier in this book as well-formed outcomes. To achieve your outcomes, you need to know not only where you are going, but where you are starting from, have a plan of action of how to get from one to the other and then take action which, along the way, will include review and possible readjustment of the outcome or actions being or to be taken. The monitoring questions being: ‘Is this still the right outcome (for me/other)’ and ‘Is what I/we are doing moving me towards that outcome or not?’
