So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
About this Book
I created the first edition of this book on a Mac in Adobe PageMaker 6.5, which I loved. I designed the pages, wrote the text, did the production, and produced the index and table of contents in PageMaker. For this second edition, I opened the original, eight-year old PageMaker files in InDesign cs2; the layout, typographic features, even the index were intact. Amazing.
The cover was designed, illustrated, and produced by John Tollett, an incredibly talented and nice man. He used Photoshop and InDesign.
Main fonts in the book: Ministry Script, an OpenType font, for the chapter headings; Bailey Sans for the headings and subheads; Adobe Caslon Pro, an OpenType font, for the body copy. The section openers use Dorchester Script for ...
