Expert Set Fonts

You can buy expert sets at most of the font web sites (see a partial list in Appendix B). Because a regular font can only hold up to 256 characters, an expert set is actually a collection of fonts in the same family. That is, in an expert package you will get the regular font, plus you might get a font that contains just the small caps, another that contains oldstyle figures, superscripts, and subscripts. And yet another for italic swash. A complete expert set package might contain up to thirty different fonts in the one family! Each font will show up in your font list separately (see pages 87–88).
