11.2.20 Crystals
By allowing the dot radius to incr eas e until adjacent dots overlap and then
bringing into effect a Z buffer as used in section 11.2.7 the d ots will appear to
lock together into a matrix of colored crystals. Figure 11.24 illustrates a basic
one sphere per unit cell texture after crystallization with the color of each dot
chosen at random.
