Companies Researched
We studied a wide range of companies across industries, in both
mature and emerging markets, to understand how the great
repeatable business models work in practice. The overview
below provides a list of the companies that were most influen-
tial for the theses of the book. Many of them are profiled in the
main text.
We started by looking at several hundred companies that
appeared in lists of successful companies (such as the Fortune
500), showed up in our own analyses of best-performing com-
panies, or were suggested to us by our colleagues or clients. We
then applied the following criteria for each of these companies
in order to select the following list:
