そして、初期状態として使いたいところまでデバイスを操作する。今回は、アプリケーションのメ
インアクティビティを表示して起動した状態を保存することにする。メインアクティビティが表示さ
れたところでプロセスを閉じる。OS X の場合、左上の赤丸をクリックしてウィンドウを閉じるという
ことだ（図4-5参照）。Windowsであれば右上の「閉じるボタン」をクリックする。エミュレータのその
ときの状態の「スナップショット」が保存されるため、プロセスが完全に終了するまでには少し時間が
かかる（おそらく1分以内）。このスナップショットによって、この状態を簡単に復元できるようになる。

次にエミュレータを起動したときには、中央の「Launch from snapshot」を選択する（図4-6参照）。
エミュレータを最初から起動する（これは何分もかかる）のではなく、このオプションを選択して
「Launch」ボタンを押すと、前のステップでエミュレータを終了したときに保存した状態で起動する。
ブートプロセス全体を繰り返さなくて済むので、起動時間は劇的に短縮される（エミュレータは、10
秒前後でスナップショットの状態になる）。エミュレータは、前回とまったく同じ状態になる（図4-7
参照）。
