CASE STATEMENT

I see two types of case statements being used in the nonprofit community today. The first is an internal document (ranging from one to five pages in length) that summarizes your agency’s mission, vision, core values, programs, staffing, and financial health. The purpose of the internal case statement is to give all the reasons why someone would want to support your agency. This document ensures internal agreement on key facts about the agency and provides a foundation when drafting other materials for external audiences, such as grant proposals, appeal letters, and the like.
