In Six Sigma, there are many instances when the analyst wants to compare the percentage of items distributed among several categories. The things might be operators, methods, materials, or any other grouping of interest. From each of the groups a sample is taken, evaluated, and placed into one of several categories (e.g., high quality, marginal quality, reject quality).
