‘Good content can reach hundreds or even thousands of people; viral content can reach millions’.

Creating good content will make a big difference but creating viral content on LinkedIn can help you take it to a whole new level.

Important Note: Viral content doesn't guarantee success and can easily cause harm if done the wrong way. I've seen many people on LinkedIn try to create viral content just for the sake of the engagement. The problem is if you share bland content with no relevance to you, your industry or your product, whilst it may generate you some better engagement, it will do very little else and may in fact scare away potential customers.

The key is to create viral content that is relevant. If you can do that, you'll truly benefit from it.

There is no set number that defines what classes as viral; different people will have different viewpoints of which number it should be. It also varies massively on different social media networks. Facebook, for example, tends to view content as viral if it achieves tens to hundreds of thousands of likes. On YouTube you're looking at multiple millions of views to class as viral.
