パケットキャプチャを行う方法として、「使っているコンピュータで送
受信されるパケットを調べる方法」と「リピータハブや一部のスイッチン
グハブを流れるパケットを調べる方法」があります（図2-22）。

ら入力された信号をすべてのポートに伝えます。つまり、同じリピータハ
ブに接続している他のコンピュータの通信を閲覧できます。
一方、は必要なポートにしか信号を伝えませんが、一
部の機種にはと呼ばれるポートがあります。ミラーリ
ングポートに接続すれば、そのスイッチングハブに接続している他のコン
ピュータの通信を閲覧できます。
最近はリピータハブがほとんど使われていないため、一般的にはスイッ
チングハブのミラーリングポートを使います。
