It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Sets the base Distinguished Name to use for LDAP searches. Requires
that Samba be configured with the --with-ldapsam
configuration option. Experimental option added in Samba 2.2.3 and
obsolete in Samba 3.0.
