It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

This is disabled by default because when the Samba server acts as the domain’s PDC, the option can keep a client from revalidating its computer account when someone new logs in. Use of the option is recommended only when all clients are Windows NT/2000/XP systems.
