Currently, four representative global satellite DSSR products are widely used, including the Global Energy and Water Cycle Experiment—Surface Radiation Budget (GEWEX-SRB) (Pinker and Laszlo, 1992) at 3-h temporal resolution and 1° spatial resolution, the International Satellite Cloud Climatology Project—Flux Data (ISCCP-FD) at 3-h intervals and 2.5° spatial resolution (Zhang et al., 2004), the University of Maryland (UMD)/Shortwave Radiation Budget (SRB) product with 0.5° spatial resolution (Ma and Pinker, 2012), and the CERES-EBAF with 1° spatial resolution (Kato et al. 2012, 2013).
