Currently, the remote sensing data used in the retrieval of LST products are generally located in the thermal infrared spectral range. The thermal infrared LST retrieval algorithm is only effective
during clear sky conditions. These products cannot reach the full surface coverage because of cloud coverage. More than 60% of MODIS LST products are affected by cloud cover (Chen et al., 2011).
