Many satellite albedo products have been operationally produced and published at a range of spatial (from 250
m to 20
km) and temporal (from daily to monthly) scales (Schaaf et al., 2008). The surface bidirectional reflectance/albedo inversion algorithm based on the kernel-driven model is currently the most widely used method and has been well applied to the surface albedo products of MODIS.
