Many satellite albedo products have been operationally produced and published at a range of spatial (from 250
m to 20
km) and temporal (from daily to monthly) scales (Schaaf et al., 2008). The surface bidirectional reflectance/albedo inversion algorithm based on the kernel-driven model is currently the most widely used method and has been well applied to the surface albedo products of MODIS. The POLDER and PARASOL series of sensors, which have better multiangle observation capabilities but lower spatial resolutions (6
