as public utility services. This would enable them to keep their international
commitment on delivery schedules. Furthermore, the Minister observed that the
recent spectacular growth of software exports was, apart from India’s knowledge
in high-tech, due to the hands-o policy of the government towards this sector. A
similar approach to hardware electronics is also called for.
