So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

COMBINING several images together to make a composite photograph is not a new concept, it’s been used in the photographic world for a long time. Thanks to recent advances in software development it can be applied to close-up and macro photography to extend the depth of field in a photograph.
‘Extended Depth of Field’, or ‘Focus Stacking’ has been used in a rudimentary form by museums and in the world of microscopy for quite a long time. In mainstream photography, it really took off with the introduction of software developed by Combine ZM and Helicon Focus in the early 2000s.
