I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
TWENTY NINE My Field Equipment
IAM frequently asked about what equipment I take out with me on a regular basis. It’s a meaningless question in a way, since it all depends on what I’m going to photograph. I do however have a regular field kit for macro which covers most of the situations I’m likely to encounter. I don’t carry everything listed here but switch between equipment depending on what I’m doing. I keep a second bag in my vehicle if I’m going to be working on a particular project, for example, creatures in freshwater or rockpools. I need to carry tanks and other accessories to be able to work in situ. I am not a committed photo junkie, but I do like to invest in equipment that I think will make my task easier.
