SINCE the digital revolution, macro photography has increased in popularity not only among nature photographers but also those people who want to explore the close-up world, be it in their garden or further afield. Digital technology has made it relatively easy these days to get acceptable images even with modestly equipped compacts. Wide-angle or Environmental Macro as it’s sometimes called is a less known genre of conventional macro photography, but one that is gaining popularity among photographers.
