As mentioned earlier, the stream is an intermediator between I/O devices and the user. The input stream
pulls the data from keyboard or storage devices such as har
d disk, floppy disk etc. The data present in output
stream is passed on to the output devices such as monitor or printer according to the user’s choice.
10.3 PRE-DEFINED STREAMS
C++ has a number of pre-defined streams. These pre-defined streams are also called as standard I/O objects.
These streams are automatically activated when the program execution starts. Table 10.1 describes the pre-
defined streams.
