SUMMARY

1. The input output function of C++ works with different physical devices. It also acts as interface

between the user and the device.

2. A stream is a series of bytes that acts as a source and destination for data. The source stream

is called input stream and the destination stream is called output stream.

3. The cin, cout, cerr and clog are predefined streams.

4. The header file iostream.h must be include when we use cin and cout functions.
