Going the Distance
If we're going to learn to practice the skill of preparation reliably, we're going to have to seek out ways to make our organizations more amenable to helping employees find their inner geek. In order to do this, however, we first need to understand what makes the skill of preparation tick; that is, how people attain the mental readiness to recognize and create new ideas from disconnected experiences.
