Modifying Styles Using the Mix Tab

The Mix tab gives you another way to make changes to your styles. The way it works is unique and kind of clever. When you click the Mix tab, you see the settings shown in Figure 6-37. You're forgiven if you haven't got a clue about what you should do next. At the top of the Mix tab you see five sections labeled "Edge Settings", "Face Settings", "Background Settings", "Watermark Settings", and "Modeling Settings". SketchUp calls these sections wells.

In the bottom of the window, you see a selection pane with a Collections menu and styles. Suppose there's a style that has a watermark you want to use. You can easily add that watermark to any other style. First use the Select tab to select the style you want to modify. Then click the Mix tab. Use the Collections menu and the selection pane at the bottom of the Mix tab to find the Style with the watermark you want. Then drag that style onto the Watermark Settings well. SketchUp applies all the watermark settings from the dragged style to the style you're modifying. It's quick and easy to transfer any of the settings from one style to another.
