Starting Up LayOut
You start LayOut the same way you start other programs on your computer. Usually the installer places an icon or shortcut to the LayOut program on your desktop. You can start LayOut by double-clicking the shortcut. If you don't immediately see the LayOut icon, one of the easiest ways to start it is to use Windows' search tool or the Mac's Spotlight:
Starting LayOut (Windows). Press the Windows key or click the Start button, and the Search box appears with your cursor inside and ready to go. Type LayOut, and a list shows all LayOut-related programs and files. At the top of the list under Programs, you see LayOut. If it's highlighted, press Enter; if not, click the program name and LayOut starts up.

(Mac). Press ⌘-space bar, and the Spotlight menu opens with your cursor in the search box. Type layout, and you see a list of programs and files sorted by applications, documents, folders, and so on. Next to Applications, you see LayOut and an icon that looks like a pencil and piece of paper. Click the icon to start LayOut.
