MEASURING THE PERFORMANCE OF DIGITAL INITIATIVES

Peter Drucker’s mantra, “You can’t manage what you don’t measure,” applies as much to digital transformation as it does to other business matters. But digital transformation presents a number of additional challenges. In some areas, such as digital marketing, there is a plethora of metrics. Here the challenge is to identify the right metrics. In most other areas, however, effective metrics are still emerging. This is why many executives have only a vague sense of how well their digital transformations are faring.
