I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Team empowerment
The QA department can safely select older versions of software releases to test regressions if automation is in place. Operations personnel can run the scripts used in staging and not encounter issues because of environment-level differences. With an automated software process, operations personnel can safely roll back a release in case of disaster in the delivery process. Also, as we talked about in the Chapter 2, Basics of Continuous Integration, automation can help bring push button releases.
