Adding a new build job item

In the Jenkins dashboard, there is a link called New Item; make sure to click it to add a new item:

Once you click New Item, you will be taken to the following screen:

Now, depending on the number of Jenkins plugins that you have installed, you will see more or less on this screen in terms of build items. We will enter a name of Freestyle Scripting for the purposes of this chapter, but you can choose any name you like for the build job.
