It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

As we illustrated previously, automation is important in software delivery as it ensures the repeatability, reliability, and predictability of a software release. Catastrophic events can be avoided or mitigated by having an automated software delivery process instead of a long manual process.
