Adding an asset to the Asset service

To add an asset to the Asset service, we will need to create an HTTP request. For the task, we recommend using Postman (https://www.getpostman.com). This tool makes it easier to create complex HTTP requests, while enabling users to save the history of actions and share it with other people.

In this example, we will use the Locomotives asset.

To create an HTTP request in Postman, proceed as follows:

1. Click the drop-down button in the upper-left corner, select POST, and specify the following: https://predix-asset.run.aws-usw02-pr.ice.predix.io/locomotives.
2. On the Headers tab, specify the following:
   • For Content-Type: application/json
   • For Authorization: Bearer LONG_TOKEN
   • For Predix-Zone-Id: 2d86d5e7-5378-4f0b-b437-124bb75e5fd7 ...
