In this chapter, we have looked at the how we can effectively secure the IIoT application and deploy it. We also discussed how to scale the various components and the best practices to use along the way. Security should be part of the software life cycle and should not be an afterthought. We provided a good framework to implement security as part of the entire software development life cycle. Scaling an application should also start with a good application architecture.
